NICOLAS JABBOUR
CEO
As CEO, Nicolas Jabbour is responsible for the company’s strategic vision for growth. Prior to this role, Nicolas managed the strategies and growth of the WebSphere Consulting Division at Prolifics, and was heavily involved with key accounts where he assisted the IBM and Prolifics teams in best shaping the optimal solutions for customers.
Nicolas joined Prolifics in 1994 where he co-founded and managed the company’s French office until relocating to the US in 2000 to head up eSolutions.
Prior to joining Prolifics, Nicolas built extensive international sales and management skills in his role as Product Manager at a subsidiary of the French Post. In this role, he was in charge of exporting Postal technology and financial services offerings to various under-developed countries. Nicolas was involved in highly visible, large scale automation projects in the Postal and Financial Services fields, and held various other positions in Telecommunications and IT research at Olivetti and Sharp.
Nicolas holds an Engineering degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems from Ecole Centrale, France, and a B.S. in Math and Applied Physics.
MICHAEL CHADWICK
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Michael Chadwick oversees business development at Prolifics. Additionally, Michael manages both Marketing and Sales divisions at Prolifics, where he contributes to the growth and financial success of the company by developing new business initiatives and key strategic alliances with partners and customers such as IBM, JPMorgan Chase, MetLife and the National Business Center.
Managing all aspects of the business, Michael brings to Prolifics over 16 years of high-tech sales experience in selling enterprise software and solutions across a wide variety of industries and vertical markets. As Executive Vice President of Business Development, Michael has also helped build an extensive network of partners enabling Prolifics to increase both its capabilities and market reach.
Michael is a former Golf Tournament Professional, a Golf All American and Big Ten Champion. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois.
ANTHONY WEBB
Vice President of Professional Services, USA
A member of the Prolifics team since 1993, Tony Webb is the Director of Professional Service for NY/Mid-Atlantic regions, overseeing customer projects and the team of consultants. With over 25 years experience in IT, Tony has provided high-level business analysis, requirements development, detailed design and architecture, and application development services for companies such as U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Siemens Health, NationsBank (now Bank of America), Children’s Hospital, Citigroup, Oracle and AT&T.
Prior to joining Prolifics, Tony worked for Fujitsu Networks Industry and Bankers Automated Clearing Services Ltd. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education in Cardiff, Wales, U.K.
DON SWALINSKI
Vice President of Professional Services, USA
With over 20 years of experience in consulting and computer services, Don Swalinski brings a diverse and solid background to his role as Director of Professional Services. Don is responsible for consulting services for half of the United States and Latin America. Don is also responsible for overseeing the Prolifics offshore operations.
Prior to joining the company in 2003, Don applied his management and technical skills in companies such as Blue Martini, Oracle, and the US Military.
NITESH THAKRAR
General Manager, EMEA
Nitesh Thakrar is responsible for the direction and management of Prolifics' EMEA operations. With more than 25 years experience in software development and consulting, Nitesh has extensive experience as a project leader designing and implementing products and applications for major companies in both the UK and the US.
Prior to re-joining Prolifics, Nitesh worked for IBOS Ltd. where he was Head of the IT Department. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science degree from North Staffordshire University, UK and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Pace University, New York, USA.
KADEER BEG
CTO
Kadeer has over 15 years of experience in delivering and architecting large scale systems across multiple platforms. He has authored numerous whitepaper on SOA, EAI and integration technologies. He is an active speaker at technology conferences on best practices and serves on the IBM's MQSeries UG committee, also previously a lecturer at Seneca College. Kadeer was the Founder and Managing Director of EAI-Corp, a product and services company, where he invented WebSphere Message Broker integration with TIBCO RV. In addition to providing consulting services to Fortune 500 clients, Kadeer worked in senior management roles both in the US and Canada for Société Générale, New Era of Networks, Sapient, Bell Canada, Cendant and IBM. He is currently the CTO for Prolifics.
ROBERT BACKOFEN
VP of Technical Initiatives
Robert Backofen is responsible for new technical initiatives and architecting Information Management business solutions for Prolifics' clients. From proof-of-concept to project deployment, he is heavily involved with key accounts where he assists the IBM and Prolifics teams in best shaping the optimal solutions for customers. Mr. Backofen also manages numerous active relationships with clients throughout the United States, and has developed consulting relationships with JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Bay Networks, United Nations, and NationsBank. Mr. Backofen has over 20 years of experience designing, developing and deploying transactional, client/server systems. Prior to joining Prolifics, Mr. Backofen was Project Manager, Team Leader and Lead Developer at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology.
HAL NORTHROP
Vice President of Sales
Hal Northrop is responsible for the direction and management of Prolifics' domestic and international sales operations. With more than 18 years experience in enterprise technology, Hal is focused on delivering client value and business growth. He has delivered SOA, Portal, and Security solutions to help organizations reach new markets, increase customer satisfaction and ease collaboration within their enterprise. Hal is instrumental in driving Prolifics’ vision to be a true technology partner to its customers – providing dedicated attention, leadership, vision, and guidance. Under Hal’s leadership Prolifics has developed relationships with key customers such as Boeing, General Electric, MassMutual, Marketing Management Analytics, Westfield Insurance Group, and Wyeth Laboratories.
Prior to joining Prolifics, Hal worked for IBM where he held multiple sales and management positions across the IBM Software Group, including running the WebSphere and Lotus Business in IBM's Great Lakes Business Unit. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
MIKE HASTIE
Vice President of Technical Sales
Mike is an experienced solutions architect and implementation manager with a strong background in business driven and improvement focused IT solutions. Mike has a field proven track record of successful projects. He has over 20 years of IT experience covering project management, enterprise architecture, IT governance, SDLC methodologies, and design/programming in a client/server and Web-based context. Prior to joining Prolifics, Mike was a co-founder and Director of Promenix, a successful systems integrator focused on IBM software implementations. Mike also has significant large-scale systems implementation experience using SAP ERP, data warehouses, and portals during employment with Deloitte Consulting and Ernst & Young where he specialized in messaging and integration technologies using the WebSphere brand family. Mike attended collage in the UK where he studied a business and computing based curriculum.
DEVI GUPTA
Vice President of Marketing
Devi Gupta directs the market positioning for Prolifics and helps manage the company’s strategic alliance with IBM. Under her guidance, Prolifics has made the critical transition from a product and services company to becoming a highly reputable WebSphere service provider and winner of several awards at IBM including the Business Partner Leadership Award, Best Portal Solution, IMPACT Best SOA Solution, and Overall Technical Excellence Award.
Devi has been a key leader at Prolifics, fulfilling a variety of principal functions since joining the company in 1991, from Product Manager to VP of Marketing. Her computer science background has allowed Devi to move freely between the engineering and the business development/marketing sides of the technology industry, which gives her a unique ability to apply the client’s perspective to the on-going evolution of Prolifics’ technology and solutions.
Prior to joining Prolifics, Devi was a programmer and relational database specialist at the Philadelphia Electric Company. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, where she was one of the original founders of the Cornell Impact Dance Troupe which is still going strong today.
DAVE MOGEL
Vice President - Legal and Human Resources
David Mogel is responsible for directing the overall operations for Prolifics including formulating policies, supervising daily operations, overseeing HR functions, and managing the administration of internal systems. As legal counsel Dave is responsible for corporate transactions including acquisitions, software licensing, and intellectual property rights agreements.
Prior to joining Prolifics, Dave worked at the law firm of Kramer, Levin, Naftalis & Frankel providing corporate legal services. He holds an undergraduate degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Psychology from Hofstra University, and a law degree from St. John’s University, where he graduated in the top 8% of his class and served as an editor on the Law Review.
HADI MAKKI
Vice President of Operations
Hadi’s career in technology spans over 20 years. A pioneer in the field of Health Informatics with a long and distinguished career with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, he last served as Assistant Commissioner for Informatics & Information Technology for that organization. Some of this work included creating an electronic medical record system for the largest sexually transmitted disease clinic network in the country as well as designing and implementing the infrastructure for electronic reporting of disease surveillance information for the City of New York. Hadi is a seasoned IT professional and a prolific scientific writer with many peer-reviewed articles to his credit.
